PSHE
Intent
At Five Acres Primary School, we aim to equip pupils with the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to thrive in school and beyond. Through Jigsaw PSHE, children develop confidence, resilience, independence and respect for themselves and others, preparing them to become healthy, safe and responsible members of society.
Implementation
PSHE is taught through the Jigsaw programme, which provides a progressive, age-appropriate curriculum across our mixed-age classes. Through the six themes of Being Me in My World, Celebrating Difference, Dreams and Goals, Healthy Me, Relationships, and Changing Me, pupils develop their social, emotional and health education through discussion, reflection and practical learning experiences.
Impact
Children leave Five Acres with the knowledge and skills to build positive relationships, manage their wellbeing, make informed decisions and contribute positively to their communities. Through learning together, growing together and thriving together, pupils become confident, respectful and resilient individuals who are well prepared for the next stage of their education and life beyond primary school.
